Don't confuse the Iron Rail with the Iron Lung

An Iron Lung is a large metal respirator which encloses all of the body (long live Landru) but the head, used for maintaining artificial respiration in a person who has difficulty breathing as a result of infantile paralysis, gas poisoning, etc. See also: Simulated Respiration as observed in Denizens of Los Angeles, Why Man Can't Breath at more than Ten Miles Per Hour, etc. Iron Lung is also the name of a humorous, though moribund group of musicians who play with high voltage on stage, often harming themselves and the audience.
