The Blue Cube is Onizuka Air Force Station,

named for Ellison Onizuka of the Challenger crew. It used to be Sunnyvale AFS. When they changed the name they had a ceremony in which Ellison's widow unexpectedly presented them with the flag that he had carried aboard Challenger.

  1. * Question: How did she get the flag? Was it miraculously preserved?
