Two sort-of southwesterly places I've wanted to go:

Monument Valley and the Cadillac Ranch (which I don't believe are adjoining, though I've made it sound that way). Monument Valley, because it's in so many movies and tv and whatnot. Cadillac Ranch is where all the '57 Cadillacs are buried up to their tailfins, because it sounded like fun. The giant plastic dinosaurs at Dinosaur Nat'l Monument sounded like fun, too.
