That building in Ghost Busters reminded me a lot of the Chrysler building.
I think I may have gone to the same store where you got the safety pins, right next to Grand Central Station. The Hyatt had absolutely no static-proofing on their carpets, and any time you touched something metal -- <<*POW*>>. I bought a couple of cans of Static Guard and sprayed down my room so I could at least walk from the shower to my bed without getting half electrocuted.
