Nick, I differ..

The ability to shut one's ego-construct off temporarily (and by this I mean the frontal lobes, where the "I" exists) is available to most humans. For me, the hindbrain takes control while I am taking drugs (which I don't do often) or having sex (which is another story). Or rather, the self is impaired, so that the hindbrain's function is not masked. It is usually very pleasurable and does not lead to any of the deleterious effects mentioned above. Hrin, perhaps this is a sex difference.....any comments?
