"That's Incurable!"

This book got a whole lot of chuckles out of me, and not a few real belly-laughs. It is sort of a hypochondriac's handbook, with several "interesting" sections. One is a list of common symptoms (say, your foot going to sleep) and the worst possible disease that this could be an early warning for (leprosy!). It contains all kinds of cute turns of phrase: The effects of a neurological disorder you can catch from your cat is described as "giving new meaning to the term 'room at the top'".

The book is by a couple of MD's with twisted senses of humor (is that a tautology?) and in the forward they claim that all the "information" in the book is true, though often distorted. Lots of fun, recommended.
