Message #15033 From THE JHROOL

Good work, Hrin!

I am eagerly awaiting a chance to communicate with your new cargo. Sheela in particular would like to try some of the techniques she developed during her trials with the hull-maintenance droids... which ended rather spectacularly about two months ago when suddenly all the droids were equipped with shaped-charge mines designed to blow if any external communications were received. Sheela was rather upset, of course.

The Marsman, Sheela, and I have not been idle, however. There is much to report. First, the planet below us has now been completely altered. The atmosphere is radically different, and appears to be absolutely teeming with the blue photosynthetic aerial plankton which Hrin has discovered are an important food source for the Gron-Goga. Vega VI is now a bright cerulean blue marble, except for very small regions at the poles, where the blue grades into more of a brownish cast (Sheela's spectral analysis reveals the presence of red pigments, possibly protective against cold...?).

Hrin is quite correct about the probe which started this whole thing. Since our last transmission Sheela's constant electronic vigilance has been rewarded at least a dozen times by distant sightings (via hyper-enhanced radar and W-space ShapeSense (we just installed the peripherals for that one last year!)) of at least three different types of T-space probes. All the sighted probes were in T-normal pseudo-orbits and all appeared to be unbeinged. All of them stayed in normal space for less than a second and then winked away. Sheela has been trying to compute trajectories for them but so far we have not been close enough to get a good ShapeSense fix. We are keeping our fingers, tentacles, circuits, and amorphous masses crossed!

Best wishes to all of you, human, non-human, and otherwise. We will continue to post updates now that the Jovian T-space link is working again. (Thank you, Hrin, for facilitating its repair!)

Many superior sloppinesses for each of you,

I am the Jhrool
